Cantarolai was born from a simple idea: almost nobody knows how to write a song, but everyone has a story that deserves one.
Where we come from
We're a small team based on the border between Uruguay and Brazil. That explains what sets us apart: we started in native Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, and every song is written directly in its own language — never translated. A song for a mom in Uruguay and a sertanejo for a dad in rural Brazil aren't written the same way, and they don't sound the same. English follows the same rule.
The name comes from the Portuguese verb “cantarolar” — to hum, to sing softly from memory, that melody that gets stuck in your head — plus the AI that produces it.
How we work
You tell the story: who the person is, the moments you've shared, the things they always say. With that we write lyrics that use those real details — not a template with the name swapped. You review and edit them word by word, and only then do they become music.
We use artificial intelligence to compose and sing, and we always say so: on this page, on every example song, and in the notice electoral law requires when we make political jingles. What we don't hand off is judgment: every piece goes through quality control before it's delivered, and when something doesn't sound right, it gets redone.
Why you listen before you pay
It's the decision that defines the business. The whole market charges first and delivers later; we let you create the lyrics, choose the style and hear the song sung without paying a cent. You only pay if it moves you, and if you paid and it didn't win you over, there's a seven-day, no-questions-asked guarantee.
Where we are today
Since May 2026 we've written and produced more than 230 songs for more than 180 people, in Uruguay, Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama and other countries in the region.
Most of them listened to their songs in full and didn't pay anything. That's how our model works and how we want it to stay: we'd rather you listen and decide, even if the answer is no. We're a small project, every song is checked by hand before it's delivered, and growing slowly lets us do it well.
